We left Spokane on 8/8 and went east on I90, across Idaho & into Montana. Just west of Butte, Montana, we got onto I15 and went south. This took us through southwest Montana, & then back into southeast Idaho. We learned that when Idaho was surveyed for it's borders, the surveyors went to the wrong mountain range, & that part of Montana should actually be Idaho.
leaving Idaho we drove into Utah. Ann had never been to northern Utah, & couldn't wait to see the Great Salt Lake & Salt Lake City. We would have spent more time along the way, but Swanee had put off a surgery, waiting for us to come visit. So, we we took a direct path, with not long stops along the way.
We took I15 down to I70, which took us into Colorado. I70 is a beautiful drive. It takes you along the Colorado River & through canyons.
Our GPS took us down the wrong road to Swanee & Colleen's, so we went about 2 hours out of our way. We finally found the road & traveled 15 miles down dirt roads to get to Swanee & Colleen's.
