Working at RoVer's Roost
We got to RoVer's Roost on 9/9. Ann started right in trying to re-learn what she had been taught in the spring. On 9/16 we started our jobs as managers of the park. We only worked half days until 10/15, then started working full days & our regular schedule.
Eveything is going ok so far, but the real test will be in November & December, when the park is full.
The pictures are of some desert critters we've found, our office & some of the members line dancing.

We only took one day to sightsee in St. George. The temperatures were 100 to 103 the whole week, so we sort of just chilled at the park.
We left there yesterday & drove to Las Vegas so John could buy a new In 'N Out hat & have lunch. They are building a new road around the Hoover Dam. John questioned the Homeland Security man about the new road & they have no idea why it is being built. But, once it is finished, you will be driving around the dam & not over it.
We took the picture of Lake Mead, because the water level was so low. It was about 15 feet low the last time we went over the dam, back in 2003. Now, it looks about 4 times lower or more.
We stayed in Kingman, Arizona last night, & are now in Congress, Arizona. We had to drive through off & on rain yesterday & today. This is the first time we have been in the southwest when it was raining like this. That's why we took pictures of the washes. John has always wanted to see these washes full of water & not dry like we usually see them. He got his wish today.
We will get to Casa Grande tomorrow & will start working on the 16th.
We won't have a lot of off time - 3 days a week - so there won't be a whole lot of sightseeing & pictures to post on the blog.
